Potato tortilla - Spanish omelette

The 'tortilla de patatas' is probably one of the most famous Spanish dishes. Serve the tortilla hot or cold, as a meal or snack.

Potato tortilla - Spanish omelette


Servings: 1 spanish omelette Preparation time: 40-50 minutes


INGREDIENTS:


3 potatoes, pre-cooked and in cubes 1/2 bell pepper, in cubes 3 mushrooms, in slices 2 cloves of garlic, pressed 1 spring onion, finely chopped 4 eggs 60 grams of feta cheese, crumbled vegetable oil chili flakes pepper salt


INSTRUCTIONS:


  1. Add some oil to a pan and heat over medium heat. Add the pre-cooked potato cubes, cover the pan and bake for 5 minutes.

  2. Add the onion, mix everything briefly, cover the pan again and continue baking for 5 minutes.

  3. Then add the bell pepper, mushrooms, garlic and chili flakes, stir everything, cover the pan again and continue baking for 10 minutes.

  4. Meanwhile, mix the eggs and feta cheese in a bowl with some salt and pepper. Afterwards, pour the mixture evenly over the potato mixture in the pan. Cover the pan again and continue baking for 10-15 minutes.

  5. Then put another pan over the pan and turn it over. Put it on the stove, cover the pan again and continue baking for 10-15 minutes.


NOTES:


  • You can also add other ingredients, such as other vegetables or chicken cubes, ...

  • Garnish with a salad if desired.
