Marzipan is very popular, especially towards the end of the year. Making marzipan yourself is not difficult at all, plus it is a lot of fun to do together with the kids.
Servings: 20-30 sweets
Preparation time: 30 minutes
200 grams of almond powder
200 grams of icing sugar
4 teaspoons of aquafaba or 1 egg white
Mix the almond powder and icing sugar in a large bowl.
Add the aquafaba or egg white to the mixture and knead into a solid ball of marzipan. Take your time!
Add a few drops of lemon juice to the marzipan and knead a little further.
Roll marzipan balls and roll them in some cacao powder.
Can be stored in an air-tight container for 3-5 days.
Optional: You can give the marzipan an extra aroma by adding, for example, a small dash of almond extract.
