Christmas cookies

These Christmas cookies are very easy to prepare. Use fun shapes - a star, a heart, a Christmas tree - and serve these Christmas cookies to your guests with coffee, tea or hot coco.

Christmas cookies

Servings: 20-30 cookies (depending on the size of your cookie cutters)

Preparation time: 10-15 minutes + 30 minutes in the refrigerator + 12-15 minutes in the oven


225 grams of (vegan) butter

175 grams of cane sugar

300 grams of flour

1 (flax) egg


  1. Add the butter and sugar in a bowl and stir until smooth.

  2. Add the egg and the flour, mix well, and knead into a dough ball. Then wrap in plastic foil and let rest for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

  3. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.

  4. After 30 minutes, roll out the dough on a floured work surface and cut out cookies with a Christmas cookie cutter.

  5. Place them on a baking tray covered with baking paper.

  6. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes.


  • Can be stored in an air-tight container for 3 days.

  • Optional: You can add some dried cranberries or cacao nibs before putting them in the oven.
