Chocolate-coconut cake

Chocolate and coconut, a heavenly combination! That is why this chocolate-coconut cake is a delicious dessert and ideal to spoil you on the weekend.

CHOCOLATE-COCONUT CAKE


Servings: 1 cake Preparation time: 10-15 minutes + 40-50 minutes in the oven + 1 hour cooling down


INGREDIENTS:


200 grams of flour 50 grams of cacao powder 200 grams of sugar 1 teaspoon of baking soda 1/2 teaspoon of salt 80 ml coconut oil, melted 90 ml coconut milk 180 ml of water 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract for topping: grated coconut, coconut oil and cacao powder


INSTRUCTIONS:


  1. Preheat the oven to 175 ° C.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, cacao powder, sugar, baking soda and salt and mix with a whisk.

  3. Then add the coconut oil, coconut milk, water and vanilla extract and mix well until smooth.

  4. Pour the mixture into a greased baking tin (or filled with baking paper) and put in the preheated oven for 40-50 minutes.

  5. Then let the cake cool down for about an hour.

  6. Make the icing by melting and mixing the extra coconut oil and cacao powder. Pour over the cake and finish with the grated coconut.
