Hi there, I'm Kim Bresseleers, a highly sensitive person, dog mom, nature lover and founder of Green Yourself.

It's nice to meet you!

I created Green Yourself as a way to provide information about different ways to accomplish a healthy, happier and more fulfilling lifestyle.

For years I struggled with stomach pains, digestion issues, muscle aches, low energy and difficult breathing. To me, these were normal, as I just assumed everyone else felt the same way. Until one day, my body couldn't take it anymore and there I was, at home with a burnout for 3 months.

During this period I learned a lot about myself, I am a highly sensitive person and am suffering from chronic hyperventilation. It was then that I decided to make a serious lifestyle change. I wanted to live a different kind of life with less stress, focus on healthy food and nature and more time for the people and animals that I love.

First of all I focused on changing my diet by removing all processed foods, eating entirely natural, whole foods. I also started using natural products for the care of my entire body. In the beginning this was a challenge, however easier then expected. After only a few weeks I felt like a total new person. 

In the meantime, I also took care of my mental health by spending more time in nature, taking time to relax and be creative; all this to reduce my stress level. I also learned more about myself and the type of life I wanted. This is why I chose to live a different type of life in another place away from the city, with more nature surrounding me. 

My hope is that you will find inspiration here on Green Yourself – in my story, recipes, how-to guides, wellness articles and the inspiring community.

Please know this is a place to celebrate your unique journey; no matter where you are on your own path, and no matter what diet you follow, we are here to support you every step of the way.
